- Action(Hero) Points are on
- Character starts with 5 hero point at 1st level. Each time the character gains a level, he or she loses any unspent hero points and gains a new total equal to 5 + half the character's level. A player can spend a hero point whenever he or she makes an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw. The player can spend the hero point after the roll is made but before any of its results are applied. Spending the hero point allows the player to roll a d6 and add it to the d20, possibly turning a failure into a success. A player can spend only 1 hero point per roll. In addition, whenever a character fails a death saving throw, the player can spend one hero point to turn the failure into a success.

Intro
Партия начинает на борту небольшой пароходной лодки, которая везет их вверх по реке к поселку Удильный Предел. От Порт-Стоунбриджа до цели - три дня пути нормальным ходом. Кроме партии, на борту - капитан, два кочегара, три стражника и груз бочек и ящиков - змеиная солонина, парусина, шахтерское снаряжение, ремонтно-строительные расходники, бумага, свечи, порох. В лодке угля как раз на проплыть в один конец, в поселке они скинут груз, заберут уголь, нагрузятся со склада "Байера, Байера, Нормана и Партнеров" всяким, что колония смогла произвести, и уплывут. Вернутся минимум через месяц.
Поселок промышляет рыбалкой(duh) - в этом месте река разливается в приличных размеров озеро - и с горем пополам оперирует двумя шахтами(в покрытых лесом холмах неподалеку).
У каждого в партии есть: контракт, так или иначе обязующий отработать 1500 золотых монет на "ББНП"; направление/рекомендательное письмо, для предъявления местному бейлифу, согласно которому выполнять этот контракт вы должны в Удильном Пределе. У кого-то одного в партии(решайте) есть запечатанное письмо лично для бейлифа.
У каждого в партии есть виртуальные 500 золотых монет, которое можно потратить на всякие штуки, чтобы отразить всякие закупки в Порт-Стоунбридже. Если вы решаете их не тратить, или потратить только часть - непотраченное вычитается из вашего долга(это отражает тот факт, что согласно контракту, "ББНП" обязывалось вас не только довезти до колонии, но и снабжать и кормить throughout).
Uppity Update! Произошли пачки ретконов, дополнений и серьезных щщей - всплывающие косяки и несоответствия в логах положено считать early installment weirdness и/или шальными выбросами мультиверсума.
