[18:50:03] <@Fats> After the breakup at the end of the previous run, the troupe picked up two new runners at their usual Anchor in the Throat runner bar: a Sharp, a troll hacker, and Phantom, an elf face, to replace their losses. Their current run in the snow-covered Vladivostok is "showing a good time", as their Johnson put it, to Timofey Shevyakov aka Neon Razor, an old school runner who's well in retirement, and then cleanly disposing of him. The troupe has been
[18:50:03] <@Fats> able to track the old man to Blooming Lotus, ostensibly "the best massage salon this side of Amur Bay", which unsurprisingly turned out to be a Triad-run BTL den, where Razor is getting VIP treatment, spending his life with a fistful of personafix and BTL chips in the sockets in his skull.
[18:50:05] <@Fats> The troupe are in their SUV in the salon's vicinity, having just finished Astral and Matrix recon of the place. Snow's falling again, chilling wind from the ocean turning the falling snowflakes into fierce horizonal lines of blizzard, painting your vehicle white and fiercly shaking Che's drones in the air. Thanks to the snowfall, the neon sign with a blooming lotus seems to be floating in an aura of soft light, the black figure of the Chinese ork
[18:50:11] <@Fats> guarding the doors a stark contrast to the white around.
[18:51:42] <@Fats> * So as I said, you found the guy in the basement level, reasonably well-guarded, protected by sheets of biofiber and a convention of Matrix privacy, the clients leaving their commlinks behind as they descend the stairs leading to the BTL den
[18:52:49] <Phantom> *anything we know about razor himself? he sounds pretty cybered up from the name
[18:54:24] <@Fats> Phantom, here's what Sharp found on the Matrix: "Neon Razor was a small-time street sam in the 50ies and early 60ies. He never did anything outstanding that'd earn him praise on the shadowrunner boards; the only mentions you found of him were his erstwhile teammates surprised how is it he has such top-grade gear if he never hits it big. Deep in the archives you find some long-dead streetdoc's visitor lists, and find out Neon Razor got seriously wo
[18:54:24] <@Fats> unded a few times on botched runs; at about the same time he struggled hard with alcoholism.
[18:54:24] <@Fats> After that, mentions of Neon Razor are rarely if ever encountered, he's only indirectly mentioned as "Triad boy" and "sellout"; you scour the Matrix for Timofey Shevyakov instead and only find him mentioned as a patron of Blooming Lotus massage salon in the Khasan Coast."
[18:55:19] <Phantom> *thanks
[18:56:53] <@Nebokhod> - So, any ideas?
[18:56:57] <Che> - Looks like he's in no mood of leaving that wonderful place anytime soon.
[18:56:58] <@Fats> The runners can see their hacker convulse a few times in his seat, then zone out. Anyone who isn't a complete newbie to shadowrunning easily recognizes the symptoms of the dreaded Red Mumps!
[18:57:33] <Che> * Will he be ok?
[18:57:45] <Phantom> *i guess it depends if he shows up next time
[18:58:37] <@Fats> * Red Mumps isn't lethal, but it makes the sufferer dreadfully prone to suggestion, especially those he considers friends or teammates.
[18:58:44] <@Nebokhod> - Do we know anything else about this joint?
[18:59:05] <Che> * Remind me have we found reserve generators inside?
[19:00:59] <Phantom> - I could talk my way in, might even be able to sneak a comlink in to keep in touch. Don't think I have enogh firepower to take out someone that cybered though.
[19:01:20] <@Fats> * I do not believe you looked for those, Che
[19:02:04] <@Nebokhod> - Maybe you could lure him out or something.
[19:02:50] <Phantom> - He seems pretty comfy in there. Would have to be something damn interesting to him.
[19:02:55] <@Fats> * Phantom, your mission is not taking him out, literally. But first taking him out, figuratively: the Johnson pays you for showing him a good time, publicly. So that he's seen, recorded on cams, etc. And only then you are to depose of him, leaving no traces.
[19:03:11] <Che> - We can try to cut external power...
[19:03:39] <Phantom> *Aaaah sorry
[19:06:07] <Phantom> - Maybe I could convince him that I know someone that has better quality BTLs.
[19:06:09] <@Fats> It is clear from Sharp's materials that Neon Razor is in blissful torpor in Lotus on his own volition; so the obvious ways to get him out would be either kidnapping him or convincing both his minders and himself that you have the right to be there and that he wants to leave with you.
[19:06:59] * Che cycles through camera modes on Optic-X, looking for power lines, transformers and other related things in the vicinity of joint.
[19:09:24] <@Fats> * Roll Sensor (the drone's) + Perception (yours), Che
[19:11:21] <Che> 6#sd
[19:11:21] <ur_dnd_bot> Che: (pool 6) 0 hits
[19:11:39] <@Fats> * that's quite an impressive result
[19:11:46] <Che> * Yep.
[19:12:01] <Che> * Well, I'm probably missing some modifiers.
[19:13:09] <@Fats> You glance at the vicinity of the salon with the cryptochromatic camera through your drone control interface, but the magnetic lines are a mess here. Perhaps there's a high-voltage line running nearby, or maybe it's the work of some Awakened paracritter or other, but you can't make jack shit out of what you're seeing.
[19:13:42] <Che> * Frecking snow.
[19:13:54] <@Fats> * could be that.
[19:15:23] <@Fats> It appears you'll have to walk around, not at all suspicious, looking for electric switch boxes or free-standing transformers, or what have you.
[19:16:25] <Che> * No other suggestions?
[19:17:19] <Phantom> * Can't really think of a way that would convince an addict to leave his drug-den.
[19:17:57] <@Fats> * Well, you could ask Sharp to look up the electricity connections map of the district. Maybe look it up yourself. Ask Phantom to go and ask some local electricians.
[19:18:26] <Che> * Sharp looks like he's out of order.
[19:18:36] <Phantom> * He is open to suggestion
[19:19:18] <Che> - Sharp, can you dig us schematics for local power grid?
[19:19:30] <Che> * =
[19:20:06] <Phantom> *what does = represent?
[19:20:53] <@Nebokhod> * subvoc or radio.
[19:23:28] <Phantom> * Are there any people in the area I could ask?
[19:23:37] <@Fats> The troll nods, still looking just as absent-minded. A couple minutes later, a complex AR schematic of intercrossing power lines floats up in your field of vision, Che
[19:23:56] <Che> = Thanks.
[19:24:29] <@Fats> * Absolutely, Phantom, there are electricians on call in the nearest housing service office.
[19:25:09] <Che> - Okay, here we are. Let's see if we can cut them from the grid for some time, without leaving entire city without power.
[19:26:44] <Phantom> * Do we have to roll to find that?
[19:27:30] <@Fats> * Let's say Logic+Hardware
[19:28:17] <Che> * Jast ranks?
[19:28:20] <Che> *u
[19:28:34] <@Fats> * what modifiers do you have?
[19:28:56] <Che> * cerebral booster for logic.
[19:29:06] <@Fats> * apply that.
[19:29:10] <Che> * and analytical mind
[19:30:17] <Che> * so?
[19:32:34] <Phantom> * Description doesn't make it a 100% clear if it applies, but I would say it does
[19:34:13] <Che> * +2 to logic tests for pattern recognition and puzzle solving looks appropriate.
[19:34:19] <@Fats> * Sure, apply the +2 for that, too, Che
[19:34:25] <Che> 10#sd
[19:34:25] <ur_dnd_bot> Che: (pool 10) 4 hits
[19:34:34] <@Fats> * yeah, that's better lol
[19:39:42] <@Fats> Che contemplates the schematic for a while, and he sees two ways to go about his current task: either cutting the wire that supplies Blooming Lotus (and the streetlights on its street) in the underground pipe; or simply going to the transformer a few houses away, forcing his way in, and flipping a switch to plunge Lotus and a few houses around it into darkness.
[19:42:04] <Phantom> - I could head to the houses, pretend I am there to check on the transformer due to the storm and flip the switch.
[19:42:57] <Che> - Hmm, we can cut that wire there, but it'll be conspicious, if they try to investigate, so I propose to blow up transformer and make it look like it was a hardware fault, may be a short cirquit from all that snow...
[19:44:24] <@Fats> * Sure, you can. What's your plan, anyway? Not going to discuss it IC? :D
[19:44:30] <Che> - It'll give us plenty of time, while they call the service and wait for repair team arrive and do their work.
[19:45:09] <Che> * Mmm, I was under impression, that "-" denotes IC.
[19:46:00] <@Fats> * It sure enough does; but what are you hoping to achieve by shutting their power?
[19:47:03] <Phantom> - All the people in there are plugged in right? A whole bunch of people going into dumpshock would cause one hell of a panic.
[19:47:10] <Che> * To force them soft shutdown of all that BTL-stuff and boot people into reality, where they may be become inclined to take a walk.
[19:47:28] <Phantom> * Okay so soft shutdown and no dumpshock
[19:47:43] <Che> - They should have reserve power supplies for that kind of occasion.
[19:49:13] <Che> - To allow soft shutdowns in case of blackout, or neutralizing short power drops or surges.
[19:49:28] <Che> - Well, I hope, that they have it.
[19:50:31] <Phantom> - Considering how long Razor has been in there... He is going to want to hook himself up right away again. He might not want to wait around until they get power back.
[19:51:32] <Phantom> - That is of course if he has another place to go.
[19:52:45] <Che> - Yeah. Well, it seems there are no better ideas.
[19:53:05] <Phantom> - Yeah, worst case we have to go in to get him out. But I got nothing else.
[19:55:02] <Che> - Khod?
[19:55:56] <@Nebokhod> -Mmm, what? I zoned out for a bit.
[19:56:39] <Che> - How do you like blowing up power transformers and leaving neighbourhoods without electricity?
[19:58:10] <Phantom> - Okay so I will go shut off the power. Che I am going to need you on coms to help me make it look like an accident. You guys get ready if he comes out.
[19:58:11] <@Nebokhod> - Why do we need to blow it up? Power it down, jam some controls, leave some graffity.
[19:58:44] <Che> - And repair crew fixes it up in a couple of minutes.
[19:59:13] <Che> - Well, when they arrive, that is.
[19:59:38] <@Nebokhod> - Is that corp zone or goverment responsibility?
[19:59:57] <@Fats> * Che, you guess throwing the proverbial wrench into the transformer can burn it up for good; and with a bit of Hardware knowledge, it can even be made to look like an accident. Maybe a rat or just a short circuit
[20:00:14] <@Fats> * govt, like most of Khasan coast
[20:00:43] <@Nebokhod> * what's the typical reaction time?
[20:01:07] <Che> * A few hours?
[20:01:34] <@Fats> * yeah, a couple of hours, if you go by your Vladivostok experiences
[20:02:02] <@Nebokhod> * do we need more time?
[20:02:14] <@Nebokhod> * than that
[20:02:18] <Phantom> * I think that is way more time than we need
[20:03:07] <Che> * Yep, we need to convince den-dwellers that there'll be no power for some time, while service repairs/replaces transformer.
[20:03:40] <Che> * And a couple of hours maybe survivable on their internal source.
[20:04:27] <Phantom> - So blowing it up it is.
[20:04:34] <Che> - I'd like to buy us more time, than a couple of hours, so yes.
[20:05:10] <@Nebokhod> - Do it then.
[20:05:33] <@Nebokhod> - Do you need my help for anything?
[20:05:41] <Che> - Maybe we can damage it's housing and showel some snow inside to shortcirquit and fry it, while looking like usual wear and tear.
[20:06:04] <Che> - Do you have any majics for such an occasion?
[20:06:32] <Che> - Like, I dunno, snow elementals or something?
[20:07:27] <@Nebokhod> - Not my jam, also leaving magical traces is bad.
[20:07:46] <Che> - Ше тумук ргкеы ещ фылю
[20:07:55] <Che> - It never hurts to ask.
[20:08:24] <Phantom> - Guess I will just sneak over there.
[20:08:35] <Che> - Ok, then operation Snow Blanket is a go.
[20:08:39] <Phantom> - Probably better to go casual than camosuit in that weather though.
[20:09:13] * Phantom gets out of the car and makes his way to the transformer.
[20:09:30] * Che watches over him via Optic-X.
[20:10:27] <@Nebokhod> - I could, of course, improve hos sneakiness, ever so slightly, but erasing the traces is such a pain in the ass.
[20:11:08] <Phantom> infiltration 12#sd
[20:11:08] <ur_dnd_bot> Phantom: (pool 12) 2 hits
[20:11:24] <Che> - Nah, just stand ready for any incidents.
[20:11:52] <@Fats> Walking the two hundred meters through the snowstorm is less than a pleasant exercise, but soon you stand before the transformer. It's a heavy featureless boxy structure, painted radical gray and covered in multiple graffity over that. The wide side of the box is a door, locked with a heavy mechanic lock and mocking you with its immobility. In the howling wind, you make out the writing on the door: "ЫЩ-619"
[20:12:24] <@Fats> Phantom, you're reasonably sure no one has been able to spot you in the storm
[20:14:04] <Phantom> pick the lock autopicker+agility 12#sd
[20:14:04] <ur_dnd_bot> Phantom: (pool 12) 3 hits
[20:16:57] <@Fats> You insert the picker into the lock: apparently, it's an old and unsecure model, since the picker's violent bruteforce assault on it makes it click loudly and unlock in mere seconds. Beyond the door lie the transformer's innards: a tangled mess of wires, switches and boxes with esoteric markings in Russian. On the reverse side of the door is glued the transformer's electric scheme on an old yellowed sheet of paper
[20:17:46] <@Fats> The snow from the storm starts crawling up slowly from the snowdrift around the transformer box and inside it
[20:18:24] <Phantom> = Tragic, it seems someone left the transformer unlocked. So many accidentns can happen in a storm like this.
[20:19:59] <Phantom> * So should I do something else or do you think leaving the door open is enough?
[20:20:03] <@Nebokhod> = Oh, no, the humanity,,,
[20:20:35] <@Fats> * roll Logic+Hardware again to determine how to short-circuit the thing
[20:20:38] <Che> = You're better lock it, someone can get inside and get hurt.
[20:21:03] <Phantom> = Che how do I short circuit this thing.
[20:21:34] <Phantom> *My logic is 2 and hardware 0, I have no idea how to do this
[20:21:58] <Che> = Wait a sec...
[20:22:12] * Che sends in Fly-Spy.
[20:22:52] <Che> = Let's see...
[20:23:53] * Che scans transformer via Fly-Spy from inside and Optic-X from low passes above it.
[20:24:24] <@Fats> * identifying transformers: yep, that's a transformer
[20:24:25] * plc (~plc@81.4.104.15) has joined #TeamA
[20:24:38] <Che> * Can we leave it's door open, so wind will blow snow inside and short-cirquit it?
[20:25:50] <Phantom> * I think you have to roll logic+hardware to determine that
[20:27:02] <@Fats> You are reasonably sure you recognize it as АТ/СЗ-э by BirZST, Birobidzhan.
[20:27:09] <@Fats> * and yeah, roll the test :3
[20:27:20] <@Fats> * yes, modifiers apply, before you ask
[20:27:36] <Che> 10#sd
[20:27:36] <ur_dnd_bot> Che: (pool 10) 1 hit
[20:28:21] <Che> * looks like some will need to showel some snow inside themselves.
[20:28:26] <Che> *someone
[20:29:02] <Che> * Waait, is snow conductor?
[20:29:16] <@Fats> * yes, snow is water, water conducts.
[20:29:32] <Che> * conducts not water but salt inside.
[20:29:35] <@Fats> Che, it appears to you throwing a few shovels of snow inside is the best course of action.
[20:30:06] <@Fats> * yeah, okay, that's urban snow, it has more pollutants than water in it anyway.
[20:30:16] <Che> * Okay.
[20:30:42] <Che> = Phantom... Do you have an shovel?
[20:30:45] <Che> *a
[20:30:52] <Phantom> = Not with me
[20:31:26] <Che> = Okay.
[20:31:29] <Phantom> = Guess I can use my hands, might take a bit longer
[20:31:58] <Che> = I'll send Nebokhod with a shovel to you.
[20:32:14] <Che> - Khod, can you, please?
[20:32:47] <@Nebokhod> - For the record, i hate you.
[20:33:09] <Phantom> = Guys, hurry it up. It is fucking cold
[20:33:16] * @Nebokhod sets off.
[20:33:41] <Che> = Don't worry you'll get warm soon.
[20:34:14] <@Fats> Nebokhod, you reach Phantom in a couple minutes; still, in the time you walk both you and him start resembling snowdrifts more than metahumans
[20:34:26] <@Fats> * Phantom, Agility x2
[20:34:44] <Phantom> 12#sd
[20:34:44] <ur_dnd_bot> Phantom: (pool 12) 3 hits
[20:38:04] <@Fats> The first couple of showelfuls you throw in produce no effect, so you throw more and more with increasing annoyance. Just as you bend to pick more, the transformer hisses loudly, and you see a huge blue electricity spark alive between the mysterious boxes inside it. It dances up and down as you reflexively take a step back, barely avoiding an electric shock of a few kilovolts; fire rises from the transformer, glowing ever brighter
[20:39:01] <@Fats> Then with a loud pop the thing shuts down, plunging the street around you in utter darkness as the lights in the windows, the streetlights and the neon sign of the massage parlor all go out simultaneously
[20:39:02] * Che recalled drones just before.
[20:39:41] <Che> = Don't forget to mask you shovel traces!
[20:39:41] <Phantom> - We should get away from the only light source in the street.
[20:39:50] <@Fats> In a few seconds you see the lights inside Blooming Lotus going up again, as it, apparently, switches to reserve generators.
[20:40:28] <Che> = Yep, they've got reserves.
[20:40:55] * Phantom sighs
[20:41:32] <@Fats> Fire dances inside the transformer box, solid black smoke rising from it, immediately torn away by the wind. The stench of burning plastic is choking.
[20:41:46] * Phantom kicks some snow around to hide the most obvious parts of the shoveling and quickly makes his way back to the car.
[20:42:08] <Che> - Good work.
[20:42:57] * @Nebokhod casts another look on the fire and starts the trek back to warmth and vodka.
[20:43:23] <Phantom> - Well... what now?
[20:43:39] <@Fats> As you get in, you see a lonesome figure run from Lotus towards the burning transformer, then stop, looking at it dejectedly. Judging by how they raise their hand to the ear, their calling the communal services, and by how their shaking their head and slumping their shoulders, the news they're bringing their boss are less than elating.
[20:43:51] <Che> = Sharp, can you DDoS local service line a little.
[20:44:24] <@Fats> * Hmm, roll Edge x2, Che
[20:44:40] <Che> 6#sd
[20:44:40] <ur_dnd_bot> Che: (pool 6) 3 hits
[20:46:23] <@Fats> Che, Sharp stares through you with his dead eyes and intones: "I intercepted his call and pretended to be the electrician he wants, and I'm jamming the comms for the locals right now. They're not coming any time soon".
[20:46:42] <Che> = Nice.
[20:47:13] <Phantom> - So whats the plan? Wait out until their generator runs out?
[20:47:39] <Che> * Well, actually it's not that I have in mind, as if proper investigated that'll raise questions, but...
[20:47:49] <@Fats> * Che, another hardware test, if you please, with Cerebral Booster but not Analytical mind.
[20:47:53] <guns_as_usual> *generators in places like here use fuel. which is usually hot and prone to exploding
[20:47:59] <Che> 8#sd
[20:47:59] <ur_dnd_bot> Che: (pool 8) 1 hit
[20:48:28] <@Fats> You are reasonably sure generators run out of fuel eventually.
[20:48:44] <Che> * I mean, abour intercepting their calls.
[20:50:30] <@Fats> * right
[20:51:35] <@Fats> * anything you're planning to do other than wait?
[20:52:37] <Phantom> - They clearly can't run that thing for as long as it is going to take to get the transformer replaced.
[20:52:56] <Che> - Yeah, I'm counting on it.
[20:53:36] <Phantom> - What is our plan if Razor comes out anyway?
[20:54:34] <Che> - Well...
[20:55:00] <Che> - Stun him, pack up with drugs and drop in some club.
[20:55:17] <@Nebokhod> - Take the razor and go to red light district?
[20:55:19] <Che> - Khod?
[20:55:24] <Che> - Yes.
[20:55:56] <Phantom> - This is going to sound stupid but... do we have drugs on us?
[20:56:26] <Phantom> Or do we have to go shopping while we are waiting for the generator to die
[20:56:51] <Che> * Well, I haven't planned that far.
[20:57:34] <@Nebokhod> - I'm pretty sure that there are lots of drug dealers in clubs and/or brothels.
[20:58:19] <Phantom> - Yeah I guess that will be the least of our problems.
[21:00:46] <Phantom> * Anyone got something they want to do? Or are we just waiting it out?
[21:01:57] * @Nebokhod orders some hot drinks and food while we wait.
[21:02:28] * Che looks for appropriate club to dump Razor.
[21:02:56] <Che> 10#sd (bars and clubs)
[21:02:56] <ur_dnd_bot> Che: (pool 10) 3 hits
[21:03:25] <@Fats> Che, anything in particular you're looking for? Vladivostok is a huge city with a vibrant nightlife.
[21:03:49] <Che> - Any suggestions for Razor's pasttime?
[21:04:32] <@Fats> Nebokhod, in a quarter hour, a flying drone zips in to drop a box of meat pies and hot tea in thick carton cups near your SUV.
[21:05:03] <@Nebokhod> - Dig in, boys.
[21:05:11] <Che> - Thanks.
[21:05:22] <Phantom> - You are the best.
[21:06:09] <Phantom> - For Razor... something low class probably. We need to convince a bouncer to let an old drugged up man through.
[21:07:46] <Che> - But with a lot of cameras...
[21:08:13] <Phantom> - Oh yeah... crap
[21:09:04] <Phantom> - Karaoke bar maybe... would have an audience at least
[21:10:32] <Che> * remind me, can we just heartstroke him on the dancefloor in the end, or should we exfiltrate him and then dispose and hide?
[21:10:52] <@Fats> * no traces of the fact that he's dead. That's, like, superimportant
[21:11:36] <@Fats> Che, you can think of a few strip clubs that broadcast what's happening inside them for a fee, and aren't too picky with the clientele as long as they bring the dosh
[21:12:53] <Che> - Hmm, there are some strip clubs, we can use.
[21:14:33] <Phantom> - If its sleazy enough, yeah that can work.
[21:14:55] <Che> - But then we need some way to dispose him.
[21:14:58] <@Fats> There are also dozens of low-class dance clubs, but those aren't really known for their broadcasting capabilities.
[21:16:54] <Phantom> - I know a street doc, we could probably dump the body with her.
[21:17:23] <Phantom> - She gets rid of "biological waste" all the time.
[21:18:28] <Che> - That's good. Well, dunno, how biological he is now, with all that chrome.
[21:19:25] <@Fats> * let me know if you're planning to do in the time it's taking the fuel to run out; or if you want to just skip to that moment.
[21:20:31] <guns_as_usual> * anything non-biological can be sold as second-hand
[21:20:35] <Che> * We should order drugs while we wait, if someone got contacts, and notify doc.
[21:21:06] <Che> * Problem with selling his chrome - is leaving traces.
[21:21:22] <@Fats> * Which ones do you want?
[21:22:13] <Che> *Yeah, we can sell them for some (nice) nuen, but then someone can found it.
[21:22:26] <guns_as_usual> * sell it to people who won't be found
[21:22:40] <guns_as_usual> * terrorists smugglers etc
[21:23:08] <Che> * Ypu can never be sure.
[21:23:33] <Che> * But if others want we can do that, I guess.
[21:23:38] <Phantom> * "no traces of the fact that he's dead. That's, like, superimportant" better to be extra careful
[21:23:47] <Che> * Yep.
[21:23:56] <@Nebokhod> * yus
[21:24:19] <Phantom> *but yeah I call my contact to tell her that we will be dropping by later in the evening
[21:24:47] <Phantom> *for drugs... I have a contact that is a jazz addict, guess I can also buy some from the doc
[21:25:37] <@Fats> * Phantom, PM
[21:26:36] <@Nebokhod> - Maybe we should get some Aisa and eX, for our guest of honor.
[21:27:29] <Che> * I don't know what drugs there are in SR, and what they do, so can't suggest anything.
[21:27:53] <Che> - Sounds good.
[21:28:50] <Phantom> * don't have all the drugs memorized but yeah sure
[21:29:01] <@Fats> Phantom, Tamara gives you her signature wry smile as she looks up from some AR anatomy schematic to answer your call. "Sure hon I'll help you get rid of the body, and since it's you, I only want measly five hundred nuyen in Evo scrip"
[21:29:14] <guns_as_usual> * coke is still coke
[21:29:50] <@Nebokhod> - Maybe add Bliss for extra good time.
[21:30:34] <Che> - Can you get it all on a short notice?
[21:31:46] <@Fats> * those are so low-Avail pretty much any Fixer or Street Doc can get them on short notice
[21:33:37] <@Nebokhod> * those new eyedrops that people are injecting themselves with would've come in handy, apparently the users are going full retard very quickly.
[21:34:16] <Phantom> * the less trouble he makes when it comes to taking him out the better
[21:34:58] <Phantom> * so what are we paying for this drug coctail made of bliss, aisa, eX and eyedrops?
[21:36:24] <@Nebokhod> * 40 Y for the first tree and 240 RUR for the last one:)
[21:37:01] <@Fats> * Nebokhod, do you mean tempo by the eyedrops?
[21:38:17] <@Nebokhod> * some new IRL thing.
[21:39:55] <@Fats> * A useful knowledge to have. One dose of each will be 150Y nuyen on such short order, is that okay?
[21:40:47] <Phantom> * damn, how many doses do we need?
[21:41:11] <Che> * 2-3?
[21:41:58] <@Nebokhod> * will we be partying for more than a day?
[21:42:21] <Che> * N-no?
[21:42:30] <Phantom> * no but they each only last 1-2 hours if he has high body
[21:43:26] <Phantom> * i would say 2 doses
[21:43:41] <Phantom> * enogh to be seen and have some fun before he kicks the bucket
[21:43:56] <@Fats> * 300Y then
[21:44:14] <@Nebokhod> * aisa is 20 +2d6 minutes, bliss is 6 - body, eX is 9 - body.
[21:44:14] <ur_dnd_bot> Nebokhod: [2d6] 8
[21:44:58] <@Nebokhod> * aisa has no availabilty, we could probably get refills from the barmen or whatever
[21:45:29] <@Fats> * more or less, yeah.
[21:45:43] <Phantom> * yeah i guess we don't have to drag him through the whole nightlife
[21:45:53] <@Fats> * they'll give you even worse a deal, though
[21:45:54] <Phantom> * one dose and getting more if need be
[21:46:48] <@Nebokhod> * well, they'll give Razor worse deal.
[21:47:13] <@Fats> * so, who's paying for the stint?
[21:47:32] <@Nebokhod> * inb4 Smash
[21:47:39] <Phantom> * I am actually super broke right now.
[21:47:56] <@Fats> * Oh u, Nebokhod
[21:48:20] <Che> * I can.
[21:48:36] <Che> * Just don't forget to reimburse operational costs.
[21:48:39] <Phantom> * gonna have to pay you guys after I get the money for the run. I actually can't afford shit right now
[21:50:38] <@Fats> Che, a dozen minutes pass since the money leaves your pocket, and another flying drone appears, similar to the one summoned by Nebokhod to the point of being indistinguishable. It drops another box in the snow near the SUV, and inside it in nice packages snugged among flakes of foam sit the substances you ordered.
[21:51:41] <Phantom> -... I wonder if that was the same drone
[21:51:55] * Che check drone.
[21:51:58] <Che> *s
[21:55:41] <@Fats> Che, it's a standard Ilyushin Il-218, a delivery drone commonly encountered throughout Russia and near abroad. It broadcasts "Rafik's Innocent Deliveries" identification, but you can't find any legal entity matching the name
[21:56:19] <Che> - ...Probably.
[21:56:34] * Phantom puts down the food
[21:56:58] <Che> - Well, at least we're looking like we have a party here.
[21:57:14] <Che> - I wonder if they serve girls.
[21:58:40] <Phantom> - They probably need bigger drones for that
[21:58:50] <@Fats> * Your deep knowledge of drone characteristics tells you an Il-218 can't lift even an adolescent gnome, Che
[21:59:07] <Che> * What about pixies?
[21:59:47] <@Fats> * not available on call, look for high-class establishments (and they'd be able to arrive on their own anyway)
[22:00:06] <@Fats> * so anyway, are you ready to skip the remaining hour and a half before the fuel runs out?
[22:00:23] <Che> * That was just theoretical question.
[22:01:45] <Phantom> *yeah lets skip
[22:02:31] <@Fats> As you wait, you finally see lights dying down in Lotus. Barely minutes later, hastily dressed Neon Razor can be seen rushing out the front door, a tiny minder in traditional Chinese dress following him. You can't hear what she's saying, but the wind is not strong enough for you not to hear the man's screams: "I DON'T CARE!" As she tries to object, you see him rip off the personafix chip out of his temple and step on it, turning his shouting up to
[22:02:31] <@Fats> eleven: "DON'T CARE I SAID! IF YOU CAN'T PROVIDE ME WITH ENTERTAINMENT, I'LL GO LOOK FOR MY OWN!"
[22:02:31] <@Fats> He hurries a few steps from the door, then turns to the minder (who's obviously freezing, judging by how she's hugging herself): "CALL ME WHEN THIS BULLSHIT ENDS!" He turns his back on her with a look of finality, and starts walking down the street, apparently calling up a taxi on the commlink built into his skull.
[22:03:24] <Che> = I want that taxi call intercepted.
[22:04:05] * Che stealthy changes car paint to taxi one.
[22:04:08] <@Fats> "On it" - Sharp remarks absentmindedly.
[22:04:29] <Che> - Be ready for a pick up.
[22:05:00] <Phantom> - Showtime
[22:05:08] <@Fats> * who's riding shotgun in the SUV? Front right seat?
[22:05:21] <@Nebokhod> * not me.
[22:05:34] <Che> * We can pack everyone on the back.
[22:05:48] <Phantom> * is sharp driving?
[22:05:54] <Che> * Che is.
[22:06:01] <@Fats> * aight. want Sharp to pretend you're the taxi to pick up the call?
[22:06:12] <Che> * Yes.
[22:06:58] <Phantom> *guess I am riding shotgun
[22:07:56] <@Fats> "Got it" - Sharp reports, - "Picked the call, drive up to him now", - the troll adds before again falling silent and peering into the distance
[22:07:59] <Che> - Can you all hide back there?
[22:08:34] <Phantom> - If there is room for all of us. Sure.
[22:09:07] <@Fats> * I imagine there's room for three at the back of a SUV, yeah
[22:09:26] <Che> * It have 6 seats if I remember right.
[22:10:08] <Phantom> *okay we all hide in the back then
[22:10:52] * Che drives to Razor.
[22:11:28] <Che> - Good day, sir!
[22:11:43] <@Fats> * typan
[22:14:13] <@Fats> Phantom, just as you settle at the back seat, Che catches up to the angrily walking man. He throws the door open, jumps in, making the suspension of your vehicle do a little dance for a good three hundred kilograms added to its load, and slams the door shut hard enough to make it hum with shock. Che, you can see he ripped the cables out of his head with enough force to rip the plastic around the hacks a bit. His gray hair is a mess, and he's weari
[22:14:14] <@Fats> ng a military style pair of jacket and pants that could be called fashionable twenty years ago. You can easily spot the slit for cyberblade on his wrist as he places his hand on the glovebox: "Yeah, cabbie" - he drawls out loudly, - "Drive me somewhere where I can have some bloody fun, if those incompetents are good for nothing for all they're paid!!"
[22:14:31] <@Fats> *around the jacks
[22:15:19] <@Fats> Before you can reply, he adds: "And hurry the fuck up, I'm paying double!"
[22:16:03] <Che> - I can recomend some strip bars, if you wish?
[22:17:10] <@Fats> The man twists his lips: "'haps. Step on it!"
[22:17:22] <Che> - On it!
[22:17:35] <@Fats> * and I suggest we save here as I have to get ready to depart for my workplace :/
[22:17:42] <Che> * Ok, sure.
[22:17:58] <@Nebokhod> *ok.
[22:17:59] <Phantom> * Yeah sounds good.
