Description
Молодой парень, крупный и румяный, с копной светлых волос и мечтательным выражением лица. Увалень увальнем, когда надо общаться с городскими. Из одежды на нём самое приметное - это кожаночка, когда-то чёрная, но видавшая невероятные виды и потрескавшаяся до совершенно седого цвета, и чиненые-перечиненые сапоги примерного того же возраста, перехваченные накрест верёвочками. Остальное всё совершенно незамысловатое, серое и домотканое, от штанов и котомки до простёганной полоски ткани, служащей кушаком, на который подвешены всякие полезные предметы. Выглядел бы совершенно мирно и по-сельски, если бы не был обвешан некоторым количеством острых предметов и не вертел бы в руках здоровенный молотильный цеп словно веточку. Выглядел бы угрожающе, если бы не тушевался.
Зато лохматый чёрный пёс (какой-то, видимо, водолазной породы в третьем поколении) щеголяет новеньким кожаным ошейником, любит знакомиться с девушками и детьми и вообще чувствует себя хозяином положения при любом удобном случае.
Оба они из окрестностей Отари, где живут на одной из ферм, выращивают и добывают себе пропитание да иногда ездят в город распродать излишки и купить что-нибудь металлическое. К приключениям, а уж тем более к городским излишествам Робина никогда не тянуло, но в жизни каждого мужчины наступает момент, когда он безжалостной рукой грядущего... короче, надо либо совершить подвиг, либо раздобыть дорогой подарок, чтобы набраться храбрости и пойти свататься.
